Academic research on the target market of speculative literature
Do you have 2 minutes to spare for research into readers of science-fiction, fantasy and steam-punk books? Whether you read speculative fiction or not (or any books, for that matter) we need you to particpate in our study.
C.J. Appleby is completing academic primary research for a dissertation required for her MA programme. The study aims to analyse the target market of speculative fiction, the wider audience of general readers in a technological society, how the physical aesthetics of books appeal to consumers and the individual preferences in characterisation, structure and authorial voice.
Whether you read fantasy, science fiction, dystopian, horror or barely read at all, your responses could be vital in tailoring more fiction to your personal taste.
The survey is 100% anonymous. All data collected is retained in password protected documents and stored offline in a secure folder on a password protected device. This device is locked away when not on the researcher’s person.
